Summer 99 was my second time to participate in the Franz Schubert Institut as an accompanist. This special institute is the only answer for my passion for the German Lied --- starting with the greatest masters that teach there, the beautiful authentic landscape and above all, Dr. Larsen's deep insight and love for this art. While working on my master degree in the University of Hartford, I am also employed there as a vocal coach. After attending the FSI, I feel much more confident bringing this art to the USA --- where it is rather neglected. No other course that I have ever attended was run with such intelligence, sensitivity and intensity. It was a big contribution to my professional and personal life. Shimrit Carmi
